Kanjirakolly is one of the best tourist places in Kannur (dt). 55 km from Kannur and 14 km from Iritty. Kanmath para and Sashi para is the View point of Kanjirakolly.. Alakapuri waterfalls is really the most attractive of all the monsoon scenes here at Kanjirakolly. It is essentially a picturesque land of imposing mountains, beautiful valleys and lovely rippling streams. From Sasippara we can see Kanjirakolly Valley, Coorge Forests of Karnataka, and other villages. Scroll down for more photos.
Kajirakolly and some Assholes
ReplyDeleteVery recently I visited Kajirakolly and the surrounding parts of Kajirakolly after hearing so many sweet stories from the locals. Once i reach there, nothing make me excitement from the other places except the hill top. Caught one jeep and roam around some of the places like Sasipara and Alakapuri waterfalls.
It is nothing but a utter waste of my time and energy. Reaching there is like a do or die situation, no infrastructure, no safe roads, not even a good hotel too. And the climate is too hot. And i never saw any
tourist, don't think about the foreign, you will not see normal country people there coz everybody running towards the near towns for better life.
When i going from Iritty, from Manikadave, only me and other three people are there in bus, the three are countectour, Driver and Cleaner.Once i get down there some jeep drivers are starring me like alien who
came from the space. Call a jeep driver to go to Sasipapra, he eager to act like person who want to eat an elephant in a minutes. I am damn sure, he is not get any customer past two weeks.
When he start the drive, start talking about the beauty and the scope of the tourist spots of that place and he is telling about the story of people who investing money for the land there. It was nothing just bluffing and it is unaffordable to hear for long time. And after some extend i interfered and clarify his false thought.
I try to convince him, see Kajirakolly is not a place in the tourist spot in the world or in India or in Kerala. The main reason is there is no monuments, no adventures places exist, climate base it is too hot, Airport is far away from this place and if Kannur airport opened also it is very difficult to get tourists coz only seeing Kajirakolly nobody will come. And Kajirakolly is no where in the tourist world. Tourists are visiting Waynad because Mysore, Bangalore, Ooty, Ayurvedic hospital Kottakal and Kozhikode airport also very near. And waynad climate also playing major role. Only seeing one rock or waterfall, no body will come to Kajirakolly, it is just a day dream. Once you open the eyelid, it will come to know that it just a day dream.....
